Exodus 3:14 And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM, and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites, I AM has sent me to you!

Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father's God, and I will exalt Him.

We all know who God is, but do we really know or do we just go by what other people tell us that He is? How do we know for sure? Well there's only one way to find out and that is to ask God Himself who He is. One thing for sure, unlike other people God will tell you the truth about who He is.

Some say that God is a man and others say that He is just a vapor, energy that is always there. Like Q on Star Trek. Scientists have proved it so they say. Then there are others who say that God is whoever you want Him to be. Well in my experience with God I have discovered that He is indeed a man. I asked God those questions: Who are You? Are You a man or energy? My answer is: God is a man. At least that’s what I saw Him as. After all if He wasn't would the Bible say that God made us in His image? Wouldn’t the Bible say that God is just energy if He wasn’t a man? Isn’t the Bible the truth? Think about that. If we are made in God's image then how can He be anything else than man? Are you a vapor or energy that's just always there? No I don't think so. We have a body, flesh and blood. We bleed, we hurt, we get angry and a whole lot of other things. So for anyone to say that God is anything other than man they have been reading the wrong book.

God is a wonderful person. God is magnificent. God can do anything. God is gracious and kind, He has compassion and mercy. He is loving and slow to anger. He is a loving Father and like any parent He only wants what’s best for us. He is our Friend, our Guide.

Personally I think God is pretty cool. He does some neat things sometimes. Every now and then He’ll say something to me to make me laugh. He is very persistent too. Sometimes when He tells me what to write about I don’t get to it right away so God keeps bugging me until I get it done. When He wants you to do something He won’t leave you alone until you do it. He makes me laugh and He comforts me when I'm sad.

Like most people I grew up poor and I also grew up believing that even though we had to obey His laws and pray to Him every night God wasn’t for poor people. He was only there for those who had money, those who could do things for Him and for those who went to church and I couldn’t do any of that. Since then I have found out that this is very wrong.

God is there for everybody. We are all the same to God. He loves each and every one of us and He wants us all to be with Him. I never knew that we could have a relationship with God. Not like we do with other people but we can. I just love talking to God because I know He's listening and not only that but He answers me back. You can have a conversation with God too honest. I do it all the time. People say that when God talks to you it's not in an audible voice like it is with us but that's not true.

God has talked to me many times and sometimes when He talks to me I hear Him just like I would with anybody else you would talk to. He doesn't always talk to me in an audible voice but He does sometimes. God's voice is just a voice but it’s a gentle and kind voice. People say you can't see God and I don't think that's quite true either. Maybe it's just me but when I look toward heaven I see God sitting on His throne looking down at me. I see everything but His face. Nobody sees God's face unless He wants them to. God is real and He really does care about us, all of us and when it comes right down to it, God IS THE ONLY ONE WHO IS ALWAYS THERE when nobody else is. Think about it. People will let you down but God never will!
